    Christie's host Generation Y: An innovative loan exhibition at The Museum of Mankind

    LONDON - Christieís presents a group of free, public exhibitions dedicated to the theme of The Collector at The Museum of Mankind, London, from January 16th to 27th 2012.

    Showcasing Generation Y Collectors, an innovative loan exhibition displaying works of art from the collections of 30 young collectors, the free public exhibition also includes previews of 2 important forthcoming auctions; Living with Art, an intimate and exceptional private collection including works by Picasso, Miró and Brueghel; and The Printerís Proof: Etchings by Lucian Freud from the Studio Prints Archive, a retrospective of prints by the late artist.

    Generation Y Collectors includes works of art from a variety of categories including Old Masters, Contemporary Art, Design, Sculpture, Furniture, Textiles and Photography. Artists represented in the exhibition include Antony Gormley, Fang Lijun, Jean Prouvé, Leigh Bowery, Richard Prince and Franz West.

    This public exhibition is a unique opportunity for visitors to gain an insight into the diverse and discerning tastes of a contemporary generation of art collectors, and to discover a fresh array of talents alongside renowned works by more established artists.

    Living with Art and The Printerís Proof: Etchings by Lucian Freud from the Studio Prints Archive will be offered at Christieís rooms at King Street, St. Jamesís, in February 2012
