    Arte Primitivo annouces sale of Fine Pre-Columbian and Tribal Art, Classical and Asian Antiquities

    NEW YORK, NY. - Arte Primitivo, a gallery specializing in Pre-Columbian & Tribal Art, Classical, Egyptian and Asian Antiquities in New York City, NY, announced its latest online absentee auction, October 24th-26th, featuring - Fine Pre-Columbian and Tribal Art, Classical and Asian Antiquities - with more than 500 lots of authentic examples from around the world. Arte Primitivo's on-line bidding format allows bidders to register and then place bids at their own pace right up until each auction's unique closing time. All auction lots are authentic, quality, provenanced items, legally acquired and legal to sell. All auction lots can be viewed online at www.arteprimitivo.com or by visiting the gallery now through the sale date.

    The auction includes many fine classical period ceramics from Mexico, ex. Collection of Emmanuel Kramer, acquired in the 1960s, and exhibited at The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Philadelphia, December 1966 to March 1967. Also featured will be items from the collection of the late Dr. J. D. Blackburn, San Antonio, TX., who started collecting in the 1960's, and several quality ceramics from the collection of Lucia Meza, who also acquired them in the 1960s. Plus a few items acquired from the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, in the early 1960's.

    There is also a fine, small Bakota Reliquary Guardian Figure from a 1950's Boston collection. Plus an extensive selection of Ethnographic Art from the collection of Judith E.
