Turkish Impressionist masterpiece by Nazmi Ziya to be auctioned by Antik A.S. Auction House

ISTANBUL - Antik A.Ş. Auction House will organize its 280th auction on December 15 at Shangri-La Bosphrous Hotel. The leading items in the sale will be the paintings by Nazmi Ziya, Ibrahim Callı, Halil Pasa, Sami Yetik, Sevket Dag and Hikmet Onat.
One of the highlights being offered in the sale is a spectacular painting by Nazmi Ziya, one of the most important impressionist Turkish artists. The painting depicting “the artist’s house” will have a 500,000 Turkish lira starting price. (250,000 USD) The oil on canvas painting is considered one of the iconic works of the artist and has a very significant place in Turkish impressionist art.
The other highlights of the sale will be four previously unseen works by İbrahim Çallı, Feyham Duran’s “portrait”, Hikmet Onat’s “Istanbul” scenes and Ottoman antiques.. Turgay Artam, auctioneer of the sale, says “the sale is giving buyers an opportunity to own high quality works. The top lot Nazmi Ziya “Artist’s House” is an extraordinary painting which has never been in the market before. Important part of the auction will cover exceptional works of Turkish calligraphy. Calligraphists like Yedi Kuleli, Hafız Osman, Derviş Ali, , Kazasker Mustafa İzzet and Mehmed Aziz Rufai works will be on the sale 15th of December sale. Antik A.S.
