ABOUT PAINTING
These pictures are created in a new, unique style. The best traditions of Russian realism in landscape painting become visual poetry, poems in which volume and space are felt.Paintings are painted in oil on base-white silk, stuck onto pressed cardboard. At the moment, this new base is a much longer lasting and more reliable than stretcher-strained canvas whose coarse texture does not allow painting smaller details. Moreover, older paintings on such sturdy base do not need to be restored unlike those on canvases that get fissured in 20-30 years.
